2027 Xuan Kong Da Gua Date Selection Calendar

This edition of the FSRC Xuan Kong Da Gua (XKDG) Date Selection Calendar 2027 has been prepared by Takis Karagiannopoulos, with the permission of Grand Master Joseph Yu, founder of the Feng Shui Research Center.

The calendar has been designed as a specialized Date Selection reference and planning tool for students and practitioners of Xuan Kong Da Gua, Chinese Date Selection and traditional Feng Shui.

Rather than relying on a single method, the calendar brings together a wide range of traditional Chinese calendrical, Feng Shui and Date Selection information, allowing the practitioner to examine each day from several different perspectives.

Daily Date Selection Information

Each calendar day combines several layers of information to help the practitioner evaluate the particular qualities of the day and its relationship to the activity being considered.

The calendar includes daily Stems and Branches, Hexagrams, Na Yin Elements, clashes, Void Branches, Qi Men Dun Jia information, Auxiliary Stars, Dong Gong evaluation, 12 Day Officers and other traditional Date Selection indicators.

Additional reference tables are provided for the 60 Jia Zi, 64 Hexagrams and the 13 two-hour periods, together with specialized Xuan Kong Da Gua information for more detailed analysis.

Why Timing Matters

In Chinese Metaphysics, time is not considered uniform. Every year, month, day and two-hour period carries its own particular qualities of Qi and relationships.

Rather than simply classifying a date as “good” or “bad,” Chinese Date Selection examines these qualities in relation to the activity being planned. A date that may be appropriate for one purpose may not necessarily be appropriate for another.

By combining different layers of Date Selection information, the practitioner can make a more refined assessment and choose a date and time that are better suited to the intended activity.

24 Jie Qi & Time Zone

The calendar includes the 24 Seasonal Points (Jie Qi 節氣), including the beginning and midpoint of each Solar Month.
All Jie Qi times shown in the calendar are given in UTC+0 (Coordinated Universal Time). Please convert these times to your local time zone when necessary.

Important Note

The greater the amount of relevant information considered, the more refined the selection can become. However, no general calendar can replace an individual analysis of a person’s Four Pillars (BaZi), the specific circumstances surrounding an important decision, or the professional judgement of a properly trained practitioner.
The Xuan Kong Da Gua Date Selection Calendar should therefore be used as a powerful reference and planning tool together with appropriate knowledge and training.
